WEGMANS Milk Chocolate Bunny Sucker Recall

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a recall by Landies Candies Co., Inc. of its “WEGMANS Milk Chocolate Big Ear Bunny Sucker” product, which was mislabeled during the packaging process. Landies Candies Co. is based in Buffalo, New York.

According to the recall, the chocolate bunny ears may contain undeclared peanuts. If people who are allergic to peanuts consume the product, they run the risk of suffering injury or death through anaphylactic shock.

The milk chocolate bunny ears were produced in 3-ounces packages and shipped in 36-count cases to all Wegmans retail stores in the region. The individual 3-ounces packages, made from clear plastic flow wrap, are marked with lavender labels that are stamped with a lot number of “#35016” and a Best By Date of September 15, 2017; the cartons are affixed with an orange label that reads, “WEGMANS SWISS RECIPE Milk Chocolate Big Ear Bunny Sucker.”

People who bought these products should either throw them away or return them to their Wegmans store for a complete refund.Wegmans Chocolate Recall
