The recalled products include Wholesome Farms Vanilla Sundae Cup in 115 ml packages. The code on the product is 017032 and there is no UPC number. Also recalled is Wholesome Farms Vanilla Ice Cream Sundae Cup (case) in 48 x 115 ml packages. The codes on the product are 7382200017032029 2/1/17 and the UPC number is 00074865915427.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Food service institutions, such as hospitals and nursing homes, should not serve it. Throw it away in a double bagged package so other people and animals can’t eat it, or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Since Listeria monocytogenes bacteria can grow at refrigerator temperatures, and since freezing doesn’t kill it, then clean out those appliances with a solution of one tablespoon liquid chlorine bleach to one gallon of hot water. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling this product.

If you ate any of this product, monitor yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis, the illness caused by this pathogenic bacteria, for the next 70 days. Those symptoms can be like the flu, or they can be more severe, with a bad headache, high fever, stiff neck, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women may only have a mild illness, but listeriosis can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.
