Creamline Milk Recalled for Lack of Pasteurization and Sausage Recalled for Misbranding

Two products are being recalled; one is milk that was not pasteurized, and the other is sausage recalled for misbranding. No illnesses have been reported in either case.

The first recall is for Pasteurized Creamline Chocolate Milk produced by Stap Dairy in Pine Bush, New York. It is being recalled for improper pasteurization. Pasteurization heats milk to “effectively eliminate all pathogenic bacteria,” according to the recall notice.

The recalled Creamline chocolate milk was sold at the Stap Dairy Farm Store at 426 Drexel Drive in Pine Bushy. It was sold under the name Stap Dairy in Orange County. The product was sold in a half gallon plastic container with the container code of 6 16 6. Routine inspection conducted but he New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets revealed this problem.

The second recall is for poultry, beef, and pork products that were slaughtered under religious exemption, which is not declared on the label. These items were produced on dates ranging from March 9 2018 through June 4, 2018. The products have the establishment number “P-10158” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations and distributors in Illinois, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

You can see the long list of recalled products at the USDA web site. They include Maywood Farms brand cooked salami, Smileys Halal Chicken hot dog, Ozzie’s brand natural casing hot franks, and Delta Sunrise chicken weiners, among others.

If you bought any of these products, do not consume them. Discard them in the trash, or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
