Condies Salsa Recalled for Undeclared Peanuts

Condies Foods is recalling two brands of salsa because they contain recalled cumin that may have undeclared peanut protein. People with an allergy to peanuts can have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume even a tiny amount of peanut protein. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Peanuts in BowlThe recalled product is Condies brand “Bold and Zesty” salsa with USE THRU dates from 10/29/2014 to 1/27/2015. The 14 ounce containers have the UPC number 050777442206. Also recalled is Dr. J’s brand “Mild” and “Medium” salsas in 15 ounce tubs with USE THRU dates from 10/29/2014 through 2/4/2015. The UPC number is 793573078148 for the “Mild” salsa and 793573939166 for the “Medium” salsa. They were sold in retail stores in Utah. The salsas are packed in round opaque plastic tubs.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
