Smoked Salmon Recalled for Possible Listeria

Delifish S.A. is recalling cold smoked salmon products because they may contain Listeria monocytogenes. There have been no reports of illness associated with the consumption of this product.

Salmon TapewormThe following brand names are affected: Black Bear of the Black Forest Smoked Salmon in 1 pound packages, with UPC number 810230000493.  Food Service Cold Smoked Salmon Trim in 1 pound packages; Einstein Darn Good 4 ounce Retail packages with UPC number 099892315200. Also recalled is Food Service Whole Smoked Side in 3-5 pound pack, and Silver Source Smoked Salmon Foodservice 2-3 pound smoked fillet. Royal Fjord Smoked Salmon Toppers in 6 ounce packages with UPC number 810230000561 are recalled, along with Royal Fjord Sliced Smoked Salmon Loin in 12-14 ounce packages and Item #42925. Finally, HEB 4 ounce smoked salmon with UPC number 041220630417 is recalled.

All of the recalled salmon has lot numbers from 249 to 291. It was manufactured between September 5, 2012 and October 17, 2012. The product was possibly distributed in California, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico.
