Chicken of the Sea Tuna Recalled

Tri-Union Seafoods LLC is recalling Chicken of the Sea tuna because the seams on the can lids do not meet the standard for seam quality. Bacteria can easily get into the cans and cause foodborne illness. There have been no illnesses reported to date.

The recalled tuna is 5 ounce Chicken of the Sea chunk white albacore tuna packed in water. The best by date on all of the products is 08/18/17. The codes of the recalled products are 3018CA2CKP, 3018CA3CKP, 3018CA4CKP, 3018CAACKP, 3018CABCKP, 3018CACCKP, 3018CAECKP, 3018CB3CKP, and 3018CADCKP. The UPC number is 0 48000 03355 0. The tuna was sold nationwide in single cans between February 4, 2013 and February 27, 2013.
