In Canada, Imei cookies have been recalled for undeclared peanuts and almonds, two of the major food allergens. Almonds are considered tree nuts. Anyone who has an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts or peanuts could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat these cookies. There is no information about whether any illnesses or reactions have been reported.

Recall SignThe recalled product is Imei Sesame Fried Cookies imported by Alicity Importers. The size is 115 grams, the UPC number is 4 710126 010079 and the code on the product is 20141004. The cookies were distributed at the retail level in Alberta and British Columbia.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to almonds and/or peanuts, do not eat it. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
