Verka Peanut Brittle Recalled in Canada for Sesame Seeds

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Verka Food International are recalling peanut brittle for undeclared sesame seeds. Sesame seeds are considered an allergen in Canada. There is no information on whether or not any allergies have been reported to date.

RecallThe recalled product is Verka Peanut Gachak (Peanut Brittle) in 200 gram packages with code Batch No 4413 and UPC number 8 84282 11143 8. Also recalled is Verka Peanut Gachak (Peanut Brittle) in 400 gram packages with code Batch No 4413 and UPC number 8 84282 11128 5. The products were sold in Alberta and British Columbia at the retail level.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to sesame, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
