Giant Eagle Recalls Raisin, Apricot Filled Cookies for Undeclared Milk

Giant Eagle is recalling bakery cookies filled with raisin or apricot for the undeclared allergen, milk. Consumers with a milk allergy should not eat these cookies as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do.

giant-eagle-recalled-cookiesThe recalled cookies were sold individually from the bakery department service counters at Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets through March 20.  Giant Eagle is aware of 62 Giant Eagle and Market District customers  in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia who purchased the recalled cookies. No illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall.

The recalled cookies Raisin Filled Cookie have the UPC 57991 70069 1 and the recalled Apricot Filled Cookies have the UPC 77979 70069 1 .
