Jardine Recalls Chili Mix for Undeclared Peanuts

Jardine Foods is recalling Chili Mix because the products may contain undeclared peanut proteins, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy to peanuts could have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

PeanutsThe recalled products are DL Jardines Texas Chili Bag O’Fixins Kit in white cloth 4.0 ounce bags with UPC number 0 22531 01880 4. The best by date is 11.20.16. Also recalled is DL Jardines Texas Chili Works in a 3.0 ounce brown and red cardboard box. The UPC number is 0 22531 05250 1 and best by date is 11.20.16. Finally, Shotgun Willie’s Texas Chili Seasoning in 3.1 ounce black & red cardboard box is recalled. It has a UPC number of 0 22531 50500 7 and a best by date of 09.15.16. The products were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through web orders. If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
