Supervalu Recalls Chocolate Covered Raisins for Undeclared Peanuts

Supervalu Inc. of Minnesota is recalling Essential Everyday Chocolate Covered Raisins because they may contain undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. Those who are allergic to peanuts could have a life-threatening reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been confirmed to date.

Recall SignageThe recalled product is Essential Everyday Chocolate Covered Raisins packed in a 32 ounce clear plastic tub with a black lid. The product may contain chocolate covered peanuts instead. The UPC number isĀ 41303 05311 on the back label. The product may have a back label with a product descriptor that doesn’t match the description on the front label.

These products were distributed in North Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia. UPDATE: Virginia was listed twice as a typo. This product may have been purchased at Farm Fresh, Shoppers, Cub Foods, Horbacher’s, and Shop ‘n Save stores which are all under the Supervalu umbrella.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
