Healthy Choice Island Blends, Inc. of California is recalling all sizes of carrot juice because it may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. That bacteria can cause botulism, a serious and potentially fatal illness.

  • Sold in plastic see-through containers
  • 128 ounce, 64 ounce, 32 ounce, and 16 ounce sizes
  • Sold in gallon, half-gallon, and quart sizes
  • White label branded “Liquid Gold” with a picture of carrots and a glass of carrot juice
  • UPC number 7 63213 00130
  • Distributed in California and sold wholesale to produce companies

The symptoms of botulism poisoning include general weakness, double vision and blurred vision, dizziness, and difficulty speaking, breathing, and swallowing. There have been no illnesses reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.
