Anyone with a milk allergy who consumes this product may have a serious or life-threatening reaction. The recall was voluntarily initiated on January 25, 2012 after a complaint from a consumer with a milk allergy; that person had eaten a Peanut Butter Buckeye. If you have purchased these products and are allergic to milk, return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The company has corrected the label, but “out of an abundance of caution”, they are recalling the product and advising consumers that the candies do contain milk. Distributors and retailers have been given new labels to replace the existing labels.

If you have purchased this product and are allergic to milk, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. For questions, call the How Sweet It Is Fudge and Candy Company at 1-517-336-6070 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am and 5:00 pm EST.
