Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster Beverage Recalled

Odwalla, Inc. is recalling Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster beverage because of consumer reports that those allergic to peanuts and/or tree nuts had severe reactions after drinking the product.

All products have “enjoy by” dates before 23 MAY 2012. They were distributed nationwide through retail food stores and on-premise foodservice establishments in the past seven weeks.

The products must be kept refrigerated. Up to this point, four consumers have contacted Odwalla, reporting allergic reactions. Those people are allergic to peanuts and/or tree nuts and are not allergic to soy or milk, which are in the product. Anyone consuming these beverages who has those allergies may have a serious or life-threatening reaction.

If you have purchased this product and are allergic to peanuts or peanuts and tree nuts, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
