Spillson’s Recalls Texas BBQ Beef Sandwiches for Undeclared Soy and Wheat

Spillson’s LTD is recalling Texas BBQ Beef Sandwiches because they contain undeclared soy flour and wheat flour. Anyone with an allergy to those foods may develop a serious or life threatening reaction if they eat the sandwiches.

The 4 ounce sandwiches were sold in Monroe, Michigan at convenience stores. They have a best by date between July 20, 2012 and August 3, 2012. The sandwiches are wrapped in clear plastic with a white label located on the front of the sandwich.

The company issued the recall after a label review showed the ingredients were “missing” and the allergens were not stated on the label. All labels have since been reviewed and updated.

If you have purchased this product and are allergic to soy and/or wheat, do not eat it. Just return the sandwiches to Spillson’s for a refund. You can call 734-242-8700 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for questions or concerns.
