McCormick Recalls Ground Oregano for Possible Salmonella

McCormick is recalling 1,032 cases of Ground Oregano for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product. This recall does not affect any other McCormick Ground, Whole, or Oregano Leaves products.

McCormick Oregano Salmonella RecallThe recalled product is Ground Oregano in 0.75-ounce bottles. The UPC number is 0 523561 6 and dates are best by AUG 21 16 H and best by AUG 22 16 H. The item number is 900356. The product was shipped to Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington state, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. It was also shipped to Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, Indonesia, Jamaica, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Thailand, and the Virgin Islands.

Routine FDA testing discovered this problem. Do not return the product to the store; dispose of the product and its container in a double bag. Contact McCormick Consumer Affairs for replacement or refund.
