More Chia and Flax Seed Powder Recalled for Salmonella

The Salmonella outbreak linked to chia powders in the United States ended last month, but just yesterday the Canadian Food Inspection Agency recalled more Organic Traditions chia and flax seed powder for possible Salmonella contamination. The products are made by Advantage Health Matters and were sold nationally. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are Organic Traditions Sprouted Chia & Flax Seed Powder in 227 gram containers. The codes are AHM/SFCB19014, AHM621140814N;, AHM621140815D, and AHM621140825D and the UPC number is 8 54260 00621 6. The same product is also sold in a 454 gram size, with codes on the product of AHM/SFCB19014, AHM547140815D, and AHM547140825D and UPC number 8 54260 00547 9.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Discard in a closed and sealed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
