Beef Imported From Japan Recalled for Lack of Inspection

Jinon Corporation of California is recalling 359 pounds of frozen boneless beef products produced in Japan that were not presented for inspection when they entered the U.S. No reports of adverse reactions of illness related to the consumption of these products have been reported to date.

The products are packages of various sizes containing cuts of Tender Loin, Chuck Roll, Ribeye, Strip Loin, Brisket, Chuck Short Ribs, Inside, Outside, Short Ribs, Top Sirloin Butt, Clod, Knuckle, Short Plate and Shank. The beef is marked with a Nijiya Market label. They were produced in Japan on August 6, 2014 and imported in September 2014. The importer cut, repackaged, and sold the products at a retail store in Torrance, California.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
