Giant Eagle Recalls Japanese Cod Fillets for Undeclared Soy

Giant Eagle is recalling their Japanese Breaded Cod Fillets, which are prepared and sold individually from the Seafood department in Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets, because of undeclared soy, one of the major food allergens. Those who are allergic to soy could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The product was sold in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland. They were sold individually from the Seafood department; the UPC number isĀ 68106 31470.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to soy, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund. Giant Eagle is also initiating its consumer recall telephone notification process for those who have Giant Eagle Advantage Cards.
