Kirby Black Beans and Goya Soup Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

Goya Foods is recalling Kirby Black Beans with Creole Seasoning and Goya Black Bean Soup because they contain undeclared peanut, one of the major food allergens. Those with an allergy to peanuts could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

RecallThe recalled products are Kirby Black Beans Creole Seasoning in 29 ounce containers. The UPC number is 0 7738512346 4, the best by date is JUL 2018, and it was sold in Florida. The other recalled product is Goya Black Bean Soup in 29 ounce containers. The UPC number is 0 4133102081 7, the best by dates are JUL 2018 or AUG 2018, and it was sold in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Vermont.

If you purchased these items and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
