Whole Foods Recalls Cauliflower Salad for Undeclared Almonds

Whole Fodos Market is recalling Coconut Curry Cauliflower Salad for undeclared almonds, or tree nuts. People who are allergic to almonds could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Whole Foods Cauliflower Salad Allergen RecallThe recalled product is Coconut Curry Cauliflower Salad, sold from the chef cases and the fresh pack area of prepared foods. It is packaged in clear plastic containers with the PLU numbers 27436000000 and 27436100000, with best by date of 8/1/15. The salads may contain almonds as an ingredient which was not declared on the label.

You can see the long list of stores where the incorrectly labeled product was sold at the FDA web site.  Those stores are located in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah, and Idaho.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to almonds or tree nuts, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
