AllFresh Foods ANJOY Chicken Fried Rice Recalled for Listeria

Garland Ventures of Texas is recalling 114,870 pounds of chicken fried rice products because they could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This is a secondary recall, linked to the recall of CRF Frozen Foods vegetable products. No illnesses have been confirmed in relation to the consumption of this particular product.

ANJOY Chicken Fried Rice Listeria RecallThe recalled product is 20 ounce pail boxes containing AllFresh Foods “ANJOY Chicken Fried Rice.” The case codes are: 092415, 092915, 100215, 101325, 101615, 102015, 102715, 110315, 110615, and 032316. The products have the establishment number “P-31993” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations in Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, and Utah. The product was produced on various dates between September 24, 2015 and March 23, 2016.

Some of this product may be in consumers’ home freezers. If you purchased this product, which is heat-treated, not fully cooked, and not shelf stable, do not eat it. Throw it away, even if you intend to cook it, or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Then clean out your freezer or refrigerator with a mild bleach solution, since Listeria bacteria can grow at refrigerator temperatures and freezing will not kill it.

If you ate any of this product, watch yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days. Those symptoms include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. If you do feel sick, see your doctor.
