Brookwood Farms Recalls Pulled Pork for Undeclared Soy

Brookwood Farms of North Carolina is recalling 126,570 pounds of pulled pork because it contains soy, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. No confirmed reports of illnesses or adverse reactions have been received to date.

The recalled product was sold for institutional use nationwide. It was produced between June 12, 2014 and October 21, 2016. It is 5 pound plastic bags containing “Cooked Pulled Pork Carnita Style.” The products have the establishment number “EST. 1740” inside the USDA mark of inspection and code 15006 on the label.

If you are allergic to soy, do not eat this product. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
