Monkey Bread Mix Recalled for Possible Salmonella

Brand Castle is recalling In the Mix Monkey Bread Mix for possible Salmonella contamination. The product contains Valley Milk Products buttermilk powder that has been recalled for Salmonella found in their facility. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this issue.

The product was sold to a single retailer in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington state, and Wisconsin. 168 cases, or 1008 units are affected by this recall.

The product has the UPC numberĀ 8-44527-03278-2 and is packaged in a box with a sticker indicated the Lot number of 29JUN18BC6202. The best by date isĀ June 29, 2018.

If you purchased this product, do not use it. Throw it away or take it back to the retailer where you bought it for a refund.
