Tampico® Brand Tropical Punch Recalled for Undeclared Milk

Tropical Punch recalled for undeclared milkDean Dairy has announced a recall in the states of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin of its gallon-size bottles of Tampico® Tropical Punch. According to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), the tropical punch was accidentally mixed with milk during the manufacturing process; the presence of this milk in the adulterated punch product is not mentioned on the product labeling.

The bottles of tropical punch affected by the recall were stamped with a “Best By” date of 12-27-17, the plant code “1738,” and the UPC code “095188031281.” People who are allergic to milk may experience life-threatening anaphylaxis shock if they drink this tropical punch product. The bottles should be disposed of or returned to their place of purchase for exchange or a full refund.
