Texas Meat Packers Raw Beef Products Produced Without Inspection Recalled

PFP Enterprises, doing business as Texas Meat Packers, is recalling 7,146 pounds of raw beef products that for lack of inspection. These products were produced on March 23-24, 2018. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date in connection with these recalled products.

The recalled foods include 5-pound vacuum-packed frozen packages of “BEEF SKIRT DICED FOR TACOS,” with a case code of 1470 in the upper left-hand corner of the label and a packaging date of 03/24/18; and 5-pound vacuum-packed frozen packages of “PRESEASONED BEEF FOR FAJITAS,” with a case code of 36989 in the upper left-hand corner of the label and a packaging date of 03/24/18 and a use-by date of 03/23/19. Also recalled are varying weights of vacuum-packed packages of fresh “USDA CHOICE ANGUS BEEF, FAJITA SEASONED STEAK, BEEF FLANK STEAK FOR FAJITAS,” with a packaging date of 03/23/18 and 03/24/18, a use or freeze-by date of 04/18/18, and an item code number 567248261 in the upper left-hand corner of the case label; and varying weights of vacuum-packed packages of fresh “USDA CHOICE ANGUS, FAJITA SEASONED STRIPS, BEEF FLANK STRIPS FOR FAJITAS,” with a packaging date of 03/24/18, and a use or freeze-by date of 04/18/18, and an item code number 567248253 in the upper left-hand corner of the case label.

These Texas Meat Packers products have the establishment number “EST. 34715” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin. Inspection personnel reviewed records on March 30, 2018 and found that the facility operated on March 24, 2018 without inspection.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund.
