Some Types of Ritz Crackers Recalled for Possible Salmonella Contamination

Mondelēz Global LLC is recalling some flavors and types of Ritz crackers are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. These products were made with recalled whey powder, which has already triggered several secondary recalls of different food products. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these recalled food items. These products were sold in the United States, including Puerto Rice and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The recalled items include some Ritz Cracker Sandwiches and Ritz Bits products. They include: Ritz Bits Cheese Big Bag in 3 ounce packages, with UPC number 0 44000 00677 8 and expiration dates March 7, 2019 through April 13, 2019; Ritz Bitz Cheese in 1 ounce packages, with UPC number 0 44000 02025 5 and expiration dates March 7, 2019 though April 13, 2019; and Ritz Bitz Cheese 12 Pack Carton with UPC number 0 44000 02032 3 and expiration dates March 8, 2019 through April 13, 2019. Also recalled is Ritz Bitz Cheese 30 Pack Carton with UPC number 0 44000 01309 7 and expiration dates of March 3, 2019 through April 13, 2019; Ritz Bitz Cheese in 1.5 ounce containers, with UPC number 0 44000 00929 8 and expiration dates March 3, 2019 through April 13, 2019; Ritz Bits Cheese 3 ounce Go Packs with UPC number 0 44000 03215 9 and expiration dates March 7, 2019 through April 12, 2019; and 10.8 ounce Ritz Cheese Cracker Sandwiches with UPC number 0 44000 88211 2 and expiration dates January 14, 2019 through February 11, 2019.

Ritz Cheese Cracker Sandwiches in 1.35 ounce packages, with UPC number 0 44000 00211 4 and expiration dates January 14, 2019 through February 11, 2019 is recalled, along with Ritz Bacon Cracker Sandwiches with Cheese in 10.8 ounce packages with UPC number 0 44000 04566 1 and expiration dates February 5 and February 6, 2019; and Ritz Bacon Cracker Sandwiches with Cheese in 1.35 ounce packages, with UPC number 0 44000 04567 8 and expiration dates February 5, 2019 and February 6, 2019.

Ritz Whole Wheat Cracker Sandwiches with White Cheddar Cheese in 10.8 ounce containers is recalled, with UPC number 0 44000 04577 7 and expiration dates February 4, 2019 and February 5, 2019. Ritz Whole Wheat Cracker Sandwiches with Cream Cheese in 1.35 ounce packages is recalled, with UPC number 0 44000 04580 7  and expiration dates February 6, 7, and 8, 2019; as is Ritz Everything Cracker with Cream Cheese in 1.35 ounce packages, with UPC number 0 44000 04580 7 and expiration dates February 6, 7, and 8, 2019.

Finally, Mixed Cookie Cracker Variety 20 pack with expiration dates February 1 through 4, 2019 and UPC number 0 44000 04100 7 is recalled, along with Mixed Cookie Cracker Variety 40 pack, with UPC number 0 44000 04221 0 and expiration dates January 31, 2019 through February 5, 2019.

If you bought any of these products, do not eat them. Discard them in a sealed package, or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
