Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Cookies Recalled For Foreign Material

Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc. is voluntarily recalling Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Cookies because they may contain foreign material, more specifically visible, blue plastic pieces in the individual packaging pouch. The plastic isn’t bake into the cookies since it was introduced during the packaging process, not the baking process; however, consumption of the plastic pieces may pose a choking hazard.

These specific cookies are made on a dedicated production line, so no other Entenmann’s brand products, including Little Bites Muffins, are affected by this issue.

The recalled product is Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies sold in a 5 pack package. The best by dates on the product are August 31, 2019 and September 7, 2019. The UPC number on the product is 7203002378 and the lot code is 1350. These cookies were sold at retail stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Washington DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. The Best Buy date is on the top of the box, the lot code is to the left of the top of the box under the price per pound, and the UPC number is on the lower right hand corner on the back of the box.

The company issued the recall after receiving consumer reports of visible, blue plastic pieces found on or packaged with the product. No reports of adverse reactions or injuries have been received to date.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund. All recalled products are currently being removed from store shelves in the states listed above.
