Made Fresh Salads and Cream Cheese Recalled For Listeria

Made Fresh salads and cream cheese are being recalled because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of these items. These salads are ready to eat. The recalling firm is Made Fresh Salads of Bay Shore, New York.

These salads were distributed by direct delivery to distributors and retail stores. the products may have been repacked by retail locations in deli-style or other packaging. These salads were distributed in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and New York City. The products are sold in 30 pound and 5 pound white plastic tubs with a Made Fresh Salads label or a Northside label and also in half size aluminum pans. The salads have expiration dates from September 3, 2026 through September 18 ,2026 that is printed on the bottom left side of the label.

Some of the recalled Made Fresh salads include Black Bean & Corn Salad, Crab Salad, Latin Coleslaw, Seafood Delight, Shrimp Salad, Crunchy Vegetable Salad, Bruschetta, Mushroom Salad, Mediterranean Tuna, Bowtie Pesto, Pasta Supreme, Cranberry Feta Rigatoni, Tortellini Pesto, Mediterranean Couscous, Spicy 3 Bean, and Mexican Quinoa, among others.

Some of the Made Fresh Salads cream cheese products include Olive Pimento Cream Cheese, Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese, Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese, Walnut Cream Cheese, Tofu Spread, Tofu Vegetable Spread, Scallion Cream Cheese, and Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese, among others. Some of the Northside cream cheese products include Lox Cream Cheese, Strawberry Cream Cheese, Walnut Raisin Cream Cheese, and Tofu Spread.

The recall was triggered because of environmental sampling conducted by the FDA and the company. The company has stopped producing and distributing these products during the investigation.

If you bought any of these salads, do not eat them. If you aren’t sure if the salads or cream cheese products you purchased were these brands, ask your grocer. If he doesn’t know, don’t eat them. You can throw them away in a secure trash can or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
