Herbadashery Issues Allergy Alert on Pine Ridge Dipping Sauces

Herbadashery LLC of Casper, Wyoming is recalling certain bottles of their barbecue and dipping sauce because they contain undeclared anchovies. Worcestershire sauce was used in production; that ingredient has anchovies.

Product details:

  • Pine Ridge BBQ and Dipping Sauce
  • Pine Ridge JalapeƱo BBQ and Dipping Sauce
  • Manufactured after January 1, 2011
  • Distributed through internet sales and retail stores from January 1, 2011 through September 1, 2011
  • 18 ounce glass bottles
  • 34 ounce glass bottles
  • Plastic gallon bottles
  • Lot numbers 10111 through 90111 on the bottom of each bottle
  • No UPC codes
  • Bottles do not have an add-on sticker that reads “CONTAINS ANCHOVIES”

No illnesses have been reported in conjunction with the consumption of this product.

An onsite FDA inspection on November 23, 2011 revealed that anchovies were in the Worcestershire sauce and the labelling didn’t reveal the presence of anchovies, as the law requires. Anchovies are seafood, one of the eight major allergen groups.

If you have purchased these products with these codes or products that don’t have the “CONTAINS ANCHOVIES” sticker, return them to the place of purchase. For questions, call 1-307-265-0036 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm MST.
