Udi’s Recalls Granola for Undeclared Almonds

Udi’s Healthy Foods, LLC of Denver, is recalling 12-ounce bags of “Udi’s Gluten Free Au Naturel Granola” because they may contain undeclared almonds. People who are allergic to almonds should not consume this product as it may cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported in association with the recalled product.

Recall SignageThe product is sold in a clear plastic bag with the UPC 6-98997-80615-8 and “Best By” date code  041913 12265 1. The recalled granola has been sold at retail stores in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

The company initiated the recall after discovering that almonds were mixed in with the oats in the Au Naturel 12-ounce product by mistake. The recall does not extend to any other Udi’s products or lot codes.
