Nature’s Own Hawaiian Bread Recalled For Undeclared Milk

Nature’s Own Hawaiian Bread in two sizes is being recalled because it contains milk, one of the nine major food allergens, that is not declared on the product label as required by the FDA. Anyone who is allergic to milk proteins, as well as anyone who has lactose intolerance, could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is Flowers Foods of Thomasville, Georgia.

The products are all Nature’s Own Hawaiian Bread. The first is the 20 ounce loaf in plastic bags, with UPC number 0 72250 91662 2 and best if used by dates October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026. The product codes are 0188 262 20:06 to 0188 262 22:05, 0188 265 09:20 to 0188 265 10:30, 0188 267 04:50 to 0188 267 06:00, 0188 270 04:15 to 0188 270 06:05, and 0188 272 17:15 to 0188 272 19:25. Also recalled is the bread packaged in two 20 ounce plastic bags. The UPC number for that product is 0 72250 00683 5. There is no best by date or product codes available for the twin pack.

The recall was triggered when the company found that some packages of the bread did not declare milk as an ingredient. If you bought this bread with those numbers and cannot consume milk, do not eat it. You can throw it away in a secure trash can after double bagging the bread or you can take it back to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
