Heartland Gourmet of Nebraska is recalling gluten free baking mixes because they contain undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recalled products are 16 ounce packages of Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, Item #2017 with UPC number 7376967020171, Lot #0023065 and best buy date of 12/2014, distributed March 2013. Also recalled are the same product with Lot #0023007 with best buy date of 10/2014, distributed February 2013. Gluten Free Double Chocolate Cookie Mix in 16 ounce packages, with Item #1530, UPC number 737697015306, Lot #0012289, Best buy date of 10/2014, distributed October 2012 is recalled. The same product with Lot #0022317 with best buy date of 10/2014, distributed November 2012, and Lot # 0012341 with best buy date of 01/2014, distributed December 2012 is also recalled.
The company’s Gluten Free Pizza Mix in 15.4 ounce containers, Item #2024 and UPC number 737697020249, distributed in January 2013 is also recalled. That product has a best buy date of 09/2014. You can see all of the product labels at the FDA site.
