Beef Jerky Recalled For Lack of Inspection

Delicious brand beef jerky is being recalled because it was produced without the benefit of inspection. beef-jerkey-recall-1Consumers who have purchased these products, sold at small retail stores in the Albuquerque,  should not eat them.

The recalled products were sold in 2.5 once and 5 ounce plastic bags labeled DELICIOUS BEEF JERKY Lemon Pepper Seasoned Beef Jerky with the  “use-by” date 0911155 and the  “EST. 34408” inside the USDA Mark of Inspection.

The problem was discovered by a friend of food inspector purchased the product and the inspector recognized that the product should not bear the mark of inspection.

There have been no reports of adverse reactions or illness due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
