Bakery Issues Allergy Alert on Lenders, Kroger, Market Pantry Bagels

National Choice Bakery of Minnesota is recalling bagels sold under several brand names because they may contain undeclared peanuts and tree nuts. People with an allergy to those ingredients could have a serious allergic reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

BagelThe brand names in this recall include Market Pantry, L’Oven Fresh, Lender’s, Kroger, Dan’s Pantry, and Village Hearth. Varieties recalled include plain, whole wheat, cinnamon/raisin, blueberry, everything, and mini bagels. You can see the long list of recalled items here along with package sizes, varieties, UPC numbers, best by dates and distribution. There is also a PDF at the FDA web site you can download. The products were sold in the midwest states.

If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to peanuts and/or tree nuts, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
