In Canada, Mountainoak Cheese Recalled for Salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Mountainoak Cheese are recalling Mountainoak Cheese brand Farmstead Premium Dutch Semi-soft cheese products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products.

The real led products are Mountainoak Cheese Farmstead Premium Dutch Semi-soft Cheese – Mild in variable sizes with various or no UPC numbers. It was used at restaurants from January 12, 2015 up to and including February 10, 2015. Also recalled is Mountainoak Farmstead Premium Dutch Semi-soft – Smoked in variable sizes with variable or no UPC numbers. It was sold at the retail level in Ontario from January 20, 2015 up to and including February 10, 2015.

If you purchased these items, do not eat them. Discard in a sealed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund. If you have experienced the symptoms of Salmonella food poisoning, including headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea, see your doctor.
