Beef Meals Recalled for Undeclared Fish

ConAgra Foods is recalling 84,340 pounds of two beef products because they contain fish (anchovies), one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to fish who eats those products could have a serious allergic reaction. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products. The products contain Worcestershire sauce, which is made with anchovies.

The recalled products are 14-ounce boxes of Marie Callender’s Salisbury Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Home-Style Gravy served with Cheesy Broccoli & Cauliflower with package code of 5014610500 and packaging date of April 14, 2016. Also recalled are 76-ounce packages of Molly’s Kitchen Macaroni & Beef with Tomato Sauce with package code of 5014610400 and packaging date of April 13, 2016. The Marie Callender’s item was sold in retail stores nationwide, and the Molly’s Kitchen item was shipped nationwide to institutional customers.

If you purchased either of these products and are allergic to fish, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
