Samosas Recalled in California for Undeclared Wheat

The California Department of Public Health has posted a recall notice for Vegetable Samosas made by Gaylords India Cuisine. The product has undeclared wheat, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to wheat or has celiac disease could have a serious reaction if they eat this product.

The recalled product is Vegetable Samosa (Indian turnover stuffed with peas & potatoes, triangular shape, and cooked with herbs and spices). Two Samosas are packaged in microwaveable packages with a clear lid. They were distributed in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. The “Best Used By” date on the package is on or before 04-19 (April 19, 2016).

If you purchased this product and are allergic to wheat or have celiac disease, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
