Multiple Masa’s Gourmet Sauces Recalled for Undeclared Milk

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) reports that Rikki USA, Inc., based in Redmond, Washington, has recalled three varieties of Masa’s Gourmet Sauces. These sauces may contain the milk allergen, which was not mentioned on the products’ ingredients lists or allergy statements.

The sauce products were shipped to distributors in the states of California, Illinois, New York, Oregon, and Washington. The affected products are:

  • “MASA’S GOURMET SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE” (in 12-ounce glass jars): UPC code  786764406783; Lot codes 1740225 (Best By date: 11/25/2018), 1640566 (Best By date: 6/22/2018), 1640349 (Best By date: 2/5/2018), 1640124 (Best By date: 9/30/2017);
  • “MASA’S GOURMET CURRY COCONUT SAUCE (in 12-ounce glass jars): UPC code 786764412227; Lot codes 1740138 (Best By date: 10/6/2018), 1740099 (Best By date: 9/9/2018), 1740065 (Best By date: 8/23/2018), 1640480 (Best By date: 4/28/2018), 1640416 (Best By date: 3/19/2018), 1640311 (Best By date: 1/11/2018), 1640197 (Best By date: 11/9/2017), 1640056 (Best By date: 8/16/2017); and
  • “MASA’S GOURMET PULLED PORK BBQ SAUCE (in 18-ounce glass jars): UPC code 786764550035; Lot codes 1740226 (Best By date: 11/25/2018), 1740111 (Best By date: 9/20/2018), 1640352 (Best By date: 2/5/2018), 1640131 (9/30/2017).
