New England Natural Bakers Recalls Muesli and Granola for Listeria

New England Natural Bakers of Massachusetts is voluntarily recalling some of its Muesli and Granola products for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.  No illnesses have been reported in relation to this product to date.

The recalled products were all sold in different states. You can see the product names, UPC numbers, size of package, lot codes, and best by dates, along with the states where that specific product were sold, at the FDA web site. The products include Organic Muesli, Evoke Organic Classic Swiss, Evoke Organic Athlete Fuel, Millville Fruit & Nut Whole Grain Granola in various sizes and lot codes.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Discard them in a secure garbage receptacle or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund. Then clean out your pantry with a mild solution of bleach and water to kill any bacteria.

If you ate these products, watch yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days. Symptoms include severe headache, high fever, neck stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women can suffer miscarriages and stillbirth, even though they only have a mild illness. If you do feel sick, please see your doctor and tell you you ate these recalled products.
