Green Meadows Chicken Boti Kebab Recalled For Undeclared Wheat

Creative Food Processing of Santa Clara, California, is recalling about 1,941 pounds of raw Green Meadows Chicken Boti Kebab because of misbranding and undeclared wheat, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who. is allergic to wheat or who has celiac disease could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses or confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received by the company to date.

The recalled product was produced from April 16, 2019 to November 6, 2019. The recalled item is 1 pound sealed trays containing “Green Meadows Premium Meat Cuts Savory Chicken Boti Kebab” with use by or freeze by dates ranging from May 1, 2019 to November 20, 2019 on the label. The product has the establishment num per “P-6052” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail grocery stores in California.

This problem was discovered during routine FSIS inspection activities. If you have this product in your fridge or freezer and cannot eat wheat for whatever reason, don’t eat it. throw it away or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.

Meanwhile, the government is conducting retail effectiveness checks to ensure that the recalling company is notifying their customers about this issue. If and when a retail distribution list is available, listing the stores where this Green meadows Savory Chicken Boti Kebab were sold, it will be posted at the USDA web site.
