Tosuta International Sales is recalling Lander’s Australian Gluten free Macadamia Shortbread from the marketplace in Canada because it contains milk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. This product was sold nationally at the retail level. There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Lander’s Australian Gluten free Macadamia Shortbread that is packaged in 175 gram packages. The UPC number on the product is 6 66394 00012 7, and the code is best before 23 SEP 20.

If you cannot eat milk because you are allergic to milk proteins, or because you are lactose intolerant, don’t eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

This recall was triggered by a consumer complaint. The government is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of more products. The CFIA is verifying that the company is removing this product from the market.
