NadaMoo! Recalls Strawberry Cheese Cake Frozen Dessert For Undeclared Almond

Little Red Rooster Ice Cream Company, doing business as NadaMoo! is recalling about 26,000 pints of its Strawberry Cheesecake Non-Dairy Frozen Desert because it contains almond, or tree nut, one of the major food allergens. No allergic reactions have been reported to date in association with this issue.

The recalled products were distributed beginning on February 19, 2019 to retailers around the country. The recalled product is NadaMoo! Strawberry Cheesecake Non-dairy Frozen Dessert, with a best by date of 08/09/2020 on the bottom. The pints have a UPC number of 854758001020 printed below the barcode. No other NadaMoo! flavors are recalled. Any of the Strawberry Cheesecake products with another expiration dates are not recalled.

Price crust was included in the Strawberry Cheesecake product; that ingredient contains almond flour. You can see the list of stores, cities, and states that may have received this product at the FDA web site. Stores that may have sold this product include HEB Grocery, Stater Bros Markets, Beach Naturals, Better Health, Brigher Day, Fresh Thyme, Garden Patch Market, Health Hutt, Kanakee Natural Foods, Kins Market, Lacasa Del Pueblo, Melbourne Beach Supermarket, Msn Apple a Day, Natural Nutrition, Naturally YHours Grocery & Deli, Publix, Sprouts, Vegan Fine Foods, Village Market, Wheatsville Food Co-op, Hyde Park Market, The Austinite, Duval Market, Bread Baskdet – Manchaca, Thom’s Market Barton Springs, and Thom’s Market – Spyglass.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to almonds, or tree nuts, don’t eat it. Discard it or take it back to the store where you purchased it for a refund.
