Nancy Adams Dark Chocolate Graham Crackers Recalled

Nassau Candy Distributors is recalling two lots of 7.5 ounce packages of Nancy Adams Dark Chocolate Graham Crackers for undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to milk or who is lactose intolerant could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. No reactions or adverse events have been reported to the company to date.

The recalled product is Nancy Adams Dark Chocolate Graham Crackers with UPC number 618645275860, packaged in 7.5 ounce (212 gram) packages. The graham crackers were distributed to limited retailers and distributors nationwide. The product is contained in brown paper bag packaging with a clear window in front. The best by and best if used by dates that are recalled are 4/30/20, 5/1/20, 5/21/20, 6/30/20, and 8/4/20 that are on a sticker on the bottom of the bag.

Routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of milk allergens of the recalled product, so the recall was issued. The package does not declare a milk ingredient.

If you bought this product and cannot consume milk for whatever reason, don’t eat it. You can throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Symptoms of an allergic reaction can vary. Early and mild symptoms can include itching and tingling of the mouth, lips, and tongue. More serious symptoms include itching, hives, swelling of the mouth, tongue, and throat, and difficulty breathing. Anyone experiencing those symptoms should see a doctor.

Is the UPC number 618645275860, packaged in 7.5 ounce packages? If you or anyone in your household are lactose intolerant or are allergic to milk, throw them away or take them back to the store. They were recalled for undeclared milk.
