Nestle Recalls Refrigerated Toll House Cookie Dough For Foreign Material

Nestle USA is voluntarily recalling ready-to-bake refrigerated Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough products because they contain foreign material, more specifically food-grade rubber pieces. This can pose a choking hazard. No illnesses or injuries have been reported that required medical treatment to date in connection with this recall.

Nestle Recalls Toll House Cookie Dough For Foreign Material

These products are not affected by the recall: Nestlé Toll House Morsels, Nestlé Toll House Ice Cream Sandwiches, Nestlé Toll House Edible Cookie Dough, and Nestlé Professional SKUs. The recalled products all have batch codes that begin with 9189 through batch codes that begin with 9295.

The recalled refrigerated Nestle Toll House products, which are limited to ready-to-bake refrigerated products listed below, are:

Batch codes are on the product packaging. The recall notice states, “Please utilize reference images below and look for the four-digit batch code after the “use or freeze-by” date and before the number 5753.

  • Ready-to-Bake Refrigerated Cookie Dough Bars with batch codes 9189 through 9295
  • Ready-to-Bake Refrigerated Cookie Dough Tubs with batch codes 9189 through 9295
  • Ready-to-Bake Refrigerated Cookie Dough “Chubs” with batch codes 9189 through 9295.

The recall was initiated after the company received reports of food-grade pieces of rubber in some products. They have identified the source of the rubber and fixed the issue. If you purchased the products listed above, do not prepare or eat them; discard the product. You can see pictures of some of the product photos at the FDA web site.
