If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away after first wrapping it in foil or plastic wrap. Put the product in a secure garbage can with a tight fitting lid. You can also take it back to the place of purchase for a refund.

Then you should clean out your refrigerator or freezer or wherever you stored this product with a mild bleach solution to kill any bacteria. Listeria monocytogenes can grow at refrigerator temperatures, and freezing won’t kill it. Wash your hands well with soap and water after cleaning and after handling the package.

If you ate this product, monitor yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis, which can include high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness, nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Pregnant women can suffer miscarriages and stillbirth if they contract this illness, even though they may only be mildly sick. If you do get sick, see your doctor.
