Kore Organic Watermelon CBD Oil Recalled For High Lead Levels

Summit Labs of Tampa, Florida is announcing that Kore Organic Watermelon CBD Oil is being recalled because of high lead levels. Lead is a heavy metal that is very toxic. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services tested a random sample and found the product had lead levels at 4.7 ppm.

The recall note states, “As part of this investigation Summitt Labs had a sample from Lot #730 Batch #K018 tested at an ISO/IEC accredited lab. Lead results were 500 ppb (.5ppm), which is within the legal limits as defined by the State of Florida. However, based on the test from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Summitt Labs initiated, and will complete, a full recall of Lot #730 Batch #K018 in full cooperation with the FDA and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.”

The recalled product is Kore Organic Watermelon CBD Oil TINcture that is packaged in 30 ml bottles, 15 mg 450x. It is lot #730 Batch #K018. The product was distributed nationwide by Wholesalers (I.E. Nirvana Kulture and North East Rally), Samples by Sales Personnel, Tradeshow Samples, and by Summitt Labs.

Signs of acute lead poisoning include pain, muscle weakness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, poor appetite, weight  loss, metallic taste in the mouth, hemolysis, and kidney damage. There have been no reports of any adverse effects relating to the use of this product.

Any consumer who has purchased this product with this  lot number and batch number should stop using it immediately. You can call Summit Labs for a refund, or take it back to the store where you purchased if for a full refund.
