Tasty Drops Tinctures Are Being Recalled For Excess Lead

InHe Manufacturing, LLC and MHR Brands are voluntarily recalling dozens of different Tasty Drops Tinctures because they can contain excess lead, a heavy metal. Exposure to lead can cause serious health problems over time, including anemia, memory loss, kidney and brain damage, miscarriage, stillbirth, and neurological effects, especially in children. MHR Brands has not received any reports of adverse health effects related to these recalled products.

The products are intended for use in people and animals. You can see the long list of recalled products along with the package sizes and codes at the FDA web site. The recalled items include Tasty Drops – Cat Tincture, Made by Hemp – Dog Tincture, A Clean Choice – Vanilla Tincture, Herbzeedy LLC – Natural Tincture, Pathway to Wellness – Natural Tincture, The Spiffy Piff – Berry Tincture, Tasty Drops – Berry Tincture, Tasty Drops – Vanilla Tincture, and Made by Hemp – Strawberry Creme Tincture, among others.

After an investigation, the company found that the issue was graduated droppers provided by a third-party supplier. In addition to recalling these items, the company has retained a replacement third-party packaging supplier for all replacement and future products. And they have discontinued the use of graduated droppers.

If you have used these products and have experienced any adverse health effects, including pain, paresthesia/muscle weakness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, poor appetite, weight loss, symptoms associated with encephalitis, metallic taste in the mouth, shock, hemolysis or kidney damage, see your doctor.

MHR distributes nationally to consumers through internet sales. All customers are being notified about the recall. Please stop using these tinctures immediately. If you have purchased any of these recalled products, return them to the company.
