Goody King Magnetic Building Cubes Recalled For Ingestion

Goody King Magnetic Building Cubes and Blocks are being recalled for an ingestion hazard. It has magnets that can come loose if the cubes break or open. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning, and death.

There are two reports of children who ingested magnets and required surgery to remove them. There are also 27 reports of the cubes breaking or opening, causing the magnets to become loose. The importer is Yi Suen Commerce of Hong Kong. The toy was manufactured in China.

This recall involves Goody King Magnetic Building Cubes, which are magnetic cubes sold in sets of 45, 56, 100, 120, 150, and 300. The cubes contain small, powerful magnets that allow the cubes to stick together and create 3D designs. The sets are available in a variety of themed building/landscape designs and colors.

These toys were sold at Amazon from January 2024 through July 2026. They cost between $17.00 and $50.00.

If you bought any of these toys, stop using them immediately and take them away from children. Contact the company for a full refund. You will be provided with a prepaid label to return the product.
