The recalled products include 140 gram cans of Grace Ready to Eat Chicken Vienna Sausages, and 140 gram cans of the hot and spicy variety of the sausages. The cans are yellow, with a comic of a sausage running on the front, a picture of the product, and a red banner with the product name in white printing.

These items have the establishment number “EST. NO G-01” printed inside the Jamaica mark of inspection. The importer distributed the product to retail locations in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and Texas.

The recall was triggered when the problem was discovered during routine FSIS surveillance activities of imported products in commerce. FSIS is concerned that these products may be in consumers’ pantries.

Please check to see if you bought these items. If you did, do not eat them. You can throw them away in a secure garbage can with a tight fitting lid after first double bagging or wrapping them so others can’t see them, or you can take them back to the store where you purchased them for a full refund.
